Odisha FC suffered third defeat in the Indian Super League Football Tournament when they lost to defending champions Bengaluru FC by a solitary goal in their seventh and overall 31st match at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune today.
Centre-back Juanan scored the all-important goal in the 36th minute. With this win, their third in seven outings, Bengaluru FC climbed up to top of the table with 13 points. On the other hand, Odisha FC slipped to the sixth position with six points.
Players of Bengaluru FC pocketed three out of four individual awards in the hard-fought match. Nishu Kumar was given the Player of the Match Award, while Erik Paartalu got the Winning Pass of the Match Award.
Vinit Rai of Odisha FC took the ISL Emerging Player of the Match Award, while Bengaluru goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu collected the Hero of the Match Award.
